| About Attorneys Frisco, P.C. | | Mr. Burke established Frisco's first law practice in 1982. | Edmund Burke | | Degrees Bachelor of Science – Electrical Engineering Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia
Juris Doctorate Washington & Lee University, Lexington, Virginia
Philosophy: Dr. Higgins was my pediatrician. I last sat in his office as a patient when I was 23, just entering law school. I trusted him. He was my doctor. By then, the women and children in his waiting room were the children and grandchildren of Dr. Higgins’ first patients. I have sought to be that type of lawyer to each of my clients: competent, authoritative, one who would enable you, one to whom you would refer your family, friends, and children.
Professional Licenses: Mr. Burke is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the State of Texas and all courts inferior thereto. He is licensed to practice before various Federal courts in and about the Dallas metropolitan area including the District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. Mr. Burke is not certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Professional Associations: Member of State Bar of Texas, since 1970; Past President and Director of Frisco Bar Association; Chair or Co-Chair of several of it's standing committees; Member of Collin County Bar Association; Member of Texas Municipal Judge’s Association.
Community: Co-founder Dallas Rugby Football Club; Former Director or "House Counsel" of numerous metro-area banks; Co-founder, former director, & member, Frisco Rotary Club; Past President & Director (15 years) of Frisco Community Theatre; Member of Frisco Chamber of Commerce; Director, Plano Symphony (1996-2002); Director Collin County Central Museum and Symphonia Frisco; Member, Mockingbird Chapter, Poetry Society of Texas. Mr. Burke honored as the "No. 2 attorney" in The Colony (where he does not have an office) by a reader's part of the Lewisville Chronical. |
