Relaxation is something everyone tries to achieve and LaNude Botanical Salon and Day Spa is there to help people reach that goal in more than 50 different ways.

Upon walking into the spa the relaxation immediately starts. Customers are greeted by a professional staff and are offered a complimentary beverage of wine, soda, water, or homemade hot tea upon entering.

“We want everybody to feel like a queen or king,” said owner Sam Nguyen.

The full service spa owned by Nguyen and business partner Anna Chau opened a month ago and provides more than 50  services that they feel are unique to the area. The Spa features treatments with all natural herbs and botanicals that are not yet offered in the area. The salon is an extension of LaNude Skin Care Line that Nguyen also owns.

Some of the services that the spa offers include  massage (foot, full body, head and should, herbal) hair services (cut, highlights, perm), permanent makeup, manicures, pedicures, 10 different types of facials, body scrubs, body wraps, waxing services and more.

Many of the services including the manicure and pedicure offer an herbal option. The spa has 15 herbs such as chamomile leaf, eucalyptus leaf, ginger root, green tea leaf, lemon grass, lavender flower  and other that when combined together can make more than 30 combinations.  Each of the combinations helps to achieve a different outcome for the client. For example  a stress relief botanical escapes pedicure starts with the soaking of the feet on lavender oil, then an exfoliation with a lavender and chamomile scrub gel, then a mask, then a leg and foot massage with lavender oil and last a hydration with lavender lotion. The tradition trimming of the cuticles and polishing also takes place. The whole pedicure takes an hour or more to complete. The herbs used in the process are all kept in house and are mixed together for each client’s service.

Since the process used is special to the LaNude Spa each of the technicians are trained in the processes when they are hired on. Nguyen said they do not teach the processes that she uses in cosmetology school and she needs each of people to be special trained to better service the client and be educated in what they are doing.

Nguyen said the botanicals help increase the relaxation level and get clients back in touch with nature.  Her goal for the spa was to offer working people a chance to relax. She wants to give an upscale experience without the upscale price.

She ultimately wants to expand her spa to other locations in the metroplex but is right now focusing on serving the Frisco market the best she can.

LaNude Botanical Salon and Day Spa will have their grand opening from 4- 7 p.m. on Friday March 12. The spa opening is a time for people to the meet the technicians and ask questions about botanical services. There will be light appetizers and drinks served and everyone in attendance will receive a free hand treatment.
