Small Business Printing Must Haves

  • PDF

FASTSIGNS ArlingtonSo you have a small business or just started a small business. You now have a mile long list of things to do and people to see. With the ease of the internet, small business owners are wondering; Will I need to print stuff anymore? The answer is yes, there are still items you need to print to get your business up and running. Here are the top two small business printing must haves; the business card and signage.

The Age Old Business Card

The Business Card is worth its weight in gold. If you don’t have an expense account for one million promotion flyers, you at least have the $50 bucks to spend on your very small business flyer. You have one chance to make an impression and avoid having your business card windup in the trash like most. This is your chance to be creative. For example, scope the internet for “awesome business card designs” and take the best pieces from each. Take your images, contact information and motto or tag line to your nearest print shop and they can have their designersdesigners whip something up for you. Designing a card on your own can be somewhat troublesome if you’re not a graphic designer. You need to measure height, width, bleed margins, dpi requirements, and safety margins and will take you hours to figure out what your print shop can do in seconds. Decide on a design and within a few days your business is now heading in the right direction.

Posters and Signage

Recent studies have found large posterslarge posters outside and inside of your location have a very large ROI. Posters inside your place of business can lead to repeat clients and be used as a way to up-sell. PostersPosters outside can describe your business and benefits. Passerby’s will catch the curiosity bug and wonder into your new establishment. Many marketers are now including QRQR (quick response codes) on posters and signage to direct future clients to their social media and interactive community. Even though more small business owners and focusing on internet marketing and branding, there are ways to make a poster interactive with your established and new clients.
