Water, food, shelter, medical supplies and monetary donations are among the growing list of items being collected and sent to Haiti.

Frisco mom Brittany Olson is adding something new that list…stuffed animals.

Olson has a two-year old daughter that takes her stuffed cow everywhere with her.

“It comforts her when she is sick and when she is scared,” Olson said.

Olson wanted to offer that same kind of comfort to the Haitian children that might not have it right now.

She wants to collect as many stuffed animals as possible and she is getting extra help from the Texas Tornado Hockey Team in Frisco, TX.

Brittany’s Brigade Stuffed Animal Drive will have drop boxes at the Tornado home games on Feb. 5 and Feb. 6.

“They can reach a much larger base of people than I can,” Olson said.

Olson’s company, Conifer Health Solutions, is also committed to helping Olson. The company has put up a drop box in their office and is picking up the tab for all the shipping cost.Olson there are already more than 200 stuffed animals collected at her office. She is looking for new or gently used stuffed animals that can be sent to Haitian children that have been transported to Southern Florida Hospitals and children in Haiti.

Donations can be dropped off prior to the games at 2601 Avenue of the Stars, suite 200 Frisco, TX 75034 or they can be dropped off at the games this weekend.
