Looking to get some exercise this weekend and have some fun? Lochrann’s Paddy Dash 2010 is Saturday, March 13 in Frisco Square and this year’s race is supposed to be bigger and better than last year.

Race participation has grown alone to 40 percent, said   public relations person for the race Jennifer Kimball.

“Expected attendance is 350 and we hope to raise upwards of $5,000 for Frisco Family Services,” She said.

The race has been expanded not only by the number of participants but also the number of things you can do it the race. There is a lot more this year than just the 5K run/walk. New this year is “a Paddy Paw Dash for the four legged family member “there is also a Piddy Pat Dash for children eight and under. Before and after the race there will be entertainment, games and vendors. The race coordinators really worked hard this year to ensure that there was something for everyone at the event.

Registration is the day of the event from 7 – 8 a.m.  and proceeds from the race go to help Frisco Family Services

“The funds will be used towards their mission, helping those in need or in crisis in our community,” Kimball said. “We support the organization as a whole and know that the funds we raise will be used for the greater good.”

The Frisco Dog Park will also benefit from the funds collected for dogs that register.
