So You Think You Can Rock 2010?

The Frisco Education Foundation will hold their second annual Guitar Hero and Rock Band competition Feb. 20 at Liberty High School.  

The gaming competition is open to Frisco Independent School District students’ ages eight and up, Frisco ISD staff and parents.

The competition will start with songs at a medium level and get harder as players progress through the rounds.

In the Guitar Hero portion of the competition, two players will compete against each other on a pre-selected song. The players with the highest scores in each age bracket will move onto the next round.

In the Rock Band portion of the competition the bands with the highest scores will move onto the next round.

All equipment will be provided by Best Buy and the Frisco Education Foundation.

Registration for the event is $10 per participant and can be done on the Foundation’s Web site. The competition for Guitar Hero will begin at 9 a.m. and will begin for Rock Band at 1 p.m.
