There is the bling in Frisco and then there is the bang, when you combine the two you get diamonds in the sky on the 4th of July.

Our Annual Frisco Freedom Fest celebrates 8 years this year and is back with all of our favorites for FREE!

The “Party in the Plaza” begins at 4pm at Simpson Plaza in Frisco Square.  Look for the familiar Community Stage with local talent performing all night (Courtesy of Radio Disney, The Paul Green School of Rock Music, and Frisco Style Magazine).

Check out the Children’s Expo with the jump houses, face painters, games and strolling entertainers (Courtesy of Centennial Hospital).

Honor our Hero’s with a stop at the Hometown Hero Exhibit showcasing Frisco’s finest men and woman of our Police and Fire Departments (Courtesy of EDS Credit Union).

Then eat your heart out Addison because the Taste of Frisco returns and it just keeps getting bigger and better.

Across the street you can also hook up with the soccer match FC Dallas vs. New York Red Bulls and help FC Dallas send those New Yorker’s back home without a win.  To purchase tickets call 888-FCD-Goal.

Don’t forget to look up around 9:50 when you start to hear the booms that’s when the sky will light up and one of the largest fireworks shows in North Texas will take place.  It’s what you go to see and it’s a sight worth seeing.

If you’re not a crowd person find a spot around Pizza Hut Park or City Hall, the fireworks are launched from the north fields of Pizza Hut Park.

Other sponsors include FC Dallas, Pizza Hut Park, Wiggley Play Center, Star Community Newspapers, and Chick-fil-A.
