College Football in Texas has long been the states favorite past-time. From small colleges to big state universities, the sport is taken seriously with pleasure and pride. Every year the NCAA holds championship games for the various collegiate divisions.
Frisco is a finalist in holding the NCAA Division 1 Football Subdivision Title Game at Pizza Hut Park. This could be a huge economic boost for the city of Frisco, as it would mean at least $4 million dollars in economic impact for the city.
To show the NCAA that Frisco is game to host the event, Mayor Maso has rallied up a team of residents to help raise support to win the bid. “TEAM FRISCO” is a network or support to show the NCAA that Football belongs in Frisco. To pledge your support, visit http://www.collegefootballfrisco.com/
to become a part of the team.
For the last 13 years, the subdivision title game has been held in Chattanooga, but now Frisco has the chance to host the game for the 2010, 2011, and 2012 seasons.
