Orange Roughy-New Zealand to You

The United States is the largest market for New Zealand Orange Roughy. This white fleshy fish has been a gourmet item on many restaurant menus. This exotic fish is called orange rouphy because of the bright orange coloration and its heritage. This is one of New Zealand’s largest fish export because of the tender fleshy meat that is easily freezable and transportable. The boom and bust of the New Zealand Orange Roughy Fisheries make this delicacy very difficult to find at times. The inconsistency of supply has recently left restaurant owners limiting the availability dramatically.

Livestrong Online names the Orange Rouphy as one of the best fish to eat to lose weight. A 3oz serving of roughy provides over 14g of protein. It’s reported that this low-fat, high-protein food can help you lose weight by suppressing hunger. If you plan to bake or grill your rouphy, your fish will stay low in calories but frying the filets will eliminate most of the nutritional value. If you would like to try Orange Rouphy in the Dallas, Addison area by a professional chef, stop into Chamberlains Fish MarketChamberlains Fish Market and try today’s special…New Zealand Orange Roughy.

Joined by the passion for baking and the love for children, Sweet & Eccentric (S&E) comes together to help raise money for non-profit organizations dedicated to children. Our goal is to invest in the future of our community by raising money and awareness for the different organizations dedicated to ensuring that our greatest resource, our children, are nurtured, loved and allowed to reach their fullest potential.

Founder and owner, Paula Sosamon, has brought her amazing homemade and elegantly packaged tortes to life and is offering them to the people of North Texas at a very reasonable price. The goal is to allow the customers to purchase an elegant product at a sensible price and in turn help the community at the same time. Thru their unique approach, S&E is able to help these non-profits create awareness for their cause thru their rapidly expanding business and social networks. They also help financially by donating the proceeds of their torte sales to the sponsored organization of the month.

Since the launch of S&E they have partnered with Scott’s Helping Hands (S.H.H.) and Crimes Against Kids Eliminated (C.A.K.E!); two wonderful organizations that are working hard to ensure the youth of our community are getting the help they need. In the month they partnered with SHH, S&E was able to help create awareness by sponsoring a fundraising event held at Stone Creek Terrace in Frisco and emceed by 570AM KILF’s Jeff Bolton. In December they united with C.A.K.E! and were able to help the group spread the word about their mission thru local events and social network. In the month of January they are partnering with Frisco Cares. Another fantastic organization that is truly concerned about the health of the children in our community. The goal is to make people aware of these organizations who may not have otherwise heard about them and to get people to “taste the chance to make a difference.”

We took some pictures inside of Starbucks after the crash. The images were captured from the windows on the same side as the drive-thur windows (the one there before the crash). As you can see from the images the car made it quite a way into the restaurant. The staff we are told had just left the Starbucks minutes before the unwelcome guest entered.

I think the Starbucks Sign says it all...
