This is a news release from the Tom Smith Campaign. We have verified the Land Values and Tax Amounts are accurate. We are refraining from any other comment at this time:

Mayor Maher Maso faces serious tax and ethics questions surrounding a large tract of land owned by his company, CMTEX, near Eldorado Parkway within the City of Frisco.  Maso’s company purchased the 14.26 acre tract in 2006 for nearly $ 4 million and immediately claimed an agricultural exemption on the property.  In 2010 the property was valued at $3.4 million, and Maso’s tax bill on the property was a scant $62.25.  Maso has claimed an agricultural exemption each of the last 4 years.

"Maso’s tax bill on the property was a scant $62.25."

“This is shocking,” said Smith.  “Mr. Maso is gaming the system. To pay a total tax bill of $62.25 on a parcel of land worth millions demonstrates a blatant disregard for tax laws and ethical principles.  It is especially disappointing from a public servant who has been in office for over a decade.”

“Hundreds of Frisco residents drive by this land every day.  They can see there is no farming taking place on it.  For Mr. Maso to proactively seek an exemption on this property raises serious ethical and legal issues, and I call upon the proper authorities to launch an immediate investigation.”

Were the property subjected to normal tax laws, the tax liability on the land would be over $72,000 per year.  The total potential tax liability for the past 4 years would be over $280,000.  When questioned about it in a candidate forum on April 29, Maso stated that he “had paid his fair share of taxes” on the property.

Chin implants (mentoplasty) or cheek implants (malarplasty) can add fullness and definition to the face providing a rejuvenated, youthful facial profile. He has been performing liposuction surgery since 1985 and is well versed in the use of the tumescent technique for liposuction surgery as well as the use of ultrasonic and laser liposuction surgery. Dr. Pate can safely perform liposuction as well as a mini tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)mini tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) in the same surgical setting. Performing multiple surgeries during a single surgical setting is safe and less expensive and consolidates downtime into a single recovery period. He also provides Botox and fillers (i.e., Radiesse and Juvederm Ultra Plus) that are the perfect compliment to many of the cosmetic surgeries that he does.

Dr. Pate is a member of the El Paso County Medical Society, The Texas Medical Association, The Texas Cosmetic Surgical Society, The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Non-Surgical Renessa® Treatment Now Available for Women with Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI)

Local Ob Gyn Physician offers a single 30 minute in-office treatment, Renessa Frisco TXRenessa Frisco TX

Dr. Jonathan Weinstein, now offers a new non-surgical treatment for women who suffer from stress urinary incontinence (SUI) in Friscostress urinary incontinence (SUI) in Frisco. SUI is the involuntary leakage of urine which occurs during routine activities such as laughing, coughing, sneezing or exercise. SUI is often a result of childbirth and occurs when pelvic muscles no longer provide adequate support to prevent the opening of the bladder.

Many women are not interested in undergoing a surgical procedure to treat their SUI. Others mistakenly accept SUI as a natural consequence of aging or childbirth. Fortunately, there are an increasing number of solutions to this embarrassing condition.

One of the non-surgical options is the Renessa® treatment. During the Renessa procedure, controlled, low temperature heat is applied to multiple, very small sites in the urethra and bladder. Upon healing, the treated sites are firmer, providing greater resistance to leaks. The Renessa treatment is performed in Dr. Weinstein’s office in approximately 30 minutes using local anesthesia. There are no incisions, bandages or dressings. Unlike surgery, Renessa requires little or no downtime. Women can safely resume most normal activities the same or next day.

"Although SUI is not a life-threatening condition, it can severely impact a woman’s quality of life" said Dr. Jonathan Weinstein, Frisco Womens Health, "Many women are looking for an improvement in their symptoms so that they can enjoy routine activities again such as exercising or playing with their children. The Renessa® treatment offers women a non-surgical option to reduce or eliminate their incontinence episodes so they can get back to enjoying their lives without worrying about leaks."

Most women treated with Renessa experience improvement within 60-90 days. In two large U.S. Clinical Trials, three quarters of women treated with Renessa experienced a significant improvement in their symptoms and quality of life, and nearly 60% were able to eliminate pad use. In addition, the Renessa treatment is very safe; there have been no serious complications reported to date.

For more information about the Renessa®  treatment, contact Dr. Jonathan Weinstein with Frisco Womens Health at 972-668-8300.
