Vigilantes suffer first loss of Season

  • PDF

The Dallas Vigilantes were off to a pretty good start after winning their first two games at home.  They went on the road to face the Utah Blaze last night and after turning the ball over 5 times, they handed the Blaze the win, and ended their undefeated streak at 2 games.  Vigilantes quarterback Dan Raudaubaugh went 15 for 19 for 220 yards and five touchdowns, but 3 costly interceptions to give the Blaze plenty of scoring chances.  This Vigilantes offense is extremly explosive, and QB Dan Raudaubaugh has been nearly perfect up until now.  He lead his team to 21 play scoring drives in the loss, but all it takes is one interception to turn the game around.  They will now travel to Georgia to play the Georgia Force on Friday April 8th at 7:05 p.m.  This game will be nationally televised on the NFL Network, and is named the AFL game of the week.

Privacy Trees Backyard

  • PDF

Many Frisco homeowners are switching to privacy tress surrounding their pools and backyard. New housing developments in the Frisco area are using linked fencing for their backyards. Unfortunately, this leaves very little privacy even on a high fence. If you want to add privacy, shading and aesthetically pleasing landscape to your backyard, consider transplantingtransplanting a few trees.

What kind of trees fit well in your backyard and around your pool?

Live OaksLive Oaks are great for backyard shade and privacy. These do take some time to grow; a faster growing tree would be the Drake Elm or Chinese elm. Evergreen Junipers work for privacy along the fence, this tree will need to be lined up against the fence to prevent shedding in the pool. Eastern Red Cedar Tree stands tall and slender and don’t require much maintenance or space. The Drake Elm has a very similar canopy to an oak tree and Drake Elms look great in a short amount of time. This non-deciduous tree works great pool side or fence side. Please consult your professional tree farmers for further maintenance instructions and installation procedures. Avoid transplanting deciduous trees near the pool, the foliage and can cause damage to pool equipment or other objects. Please contact your local Frisco Tree FarmFrisco Tree Farm to discuss the best tree optionstree options and installation.
