Centennial High School French teacher Erin Urquhart has been selected to study for two weeks this summer in Vichy, France as part of a program sponsored by the French Embassy.
The Stage pédagogique de courte durée (SPCD) is a training grant aimed at helping teachers perfect their skills and methodologies for teaching French language and culture. The grant covers training fees, cultural activities, housing and an allowance for food, transportation and other expenses.
The program is open to teachers of French as a foreign language who work in American elementary or secondary schools. Only 20 participants were selected nationwide.
