In June, the unemployment rate fell to 3.7 percent in Dallas and held steady at 3.9 percent in Fort Worth, while edging down to 4.2 percent in Texas. All three figures are lower than the U.S. rate of 5.3 percent. Unemployment in both Dallas and Fort Worth is below its prerecession low of 4.1 percent, suggesting a tight labor market in the metroplex.
