Elevate Life Church Presents “Fight Night” Marriage Seminar

If you’re going to have a fight with your spouse, make it a good one.

Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott will be in Frisco for what they dub “Fight Night” on February 27th at Elevate Life Church for “laugh-filled” experience. The goal of the seminar is that couples learn new ways to instantly improve their relationship and turn conflict into a means for deeper intimacy.

“It’s not your grandparents’ marriage seminar,” Les Parrott said. “It’s two and a half hours of fun — there’s tons of humor and also life applications. It’s a time for couples to relax and even make it a double date.”

The seminar is is “Two Rounds” that they describe as:

Round One: Why We Fight

If you know “why” the “how’ becomes so much easier.

Round Two: How to Fight a Good Fight

When you know what to do with conflict it becomes a means to deeper intimacy.

• Uncover your personal “Fight Types”
• Learn why every conflict starts for one of two reasons
• Avoiding the Four red flags of conflict
• See how a weekly 10 minutes exercise can keep conflict at bay.

Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott are New York Times best-selling authors and founders of RealRelationships.com and the Center for Relationship Development at Seattle Pacific University. They were married in 1984, and claim to bring real-life examples to their speaking platform. Leslie is a marriage and family therapist, and Les as a clinical psychologist. They say this match-up ensures a presentation that “grounded, insightful and cutting-edge.”

“We operate under this premise: Conflict can be the price we pay for a deeper level of intimacy. In other words, if you know how to fight a good fight you can actually use conflict to bring you closer together. This seems so counter-intuitive but it’s true and we show you how to make this a reality in your love-life at Fight Night,” says Leslie Parrott.

The cost is $35 per couple until February 13 and $45 afterwards, and $7 per child for childcare.
