In collaboration with the Frisco Independent School District, Frisco Square will present the 6th Annual Arts in the Square, with proceeds going to the Frisco Education Foundation and Frisco Family Services. Frisco Square transforms into an outdoor fine arts and crafts gallery during Arts in the Square, March 28-29, 2015 with free admission and parking.
This is the 6th year of the Arts in the Square Poster contest. Every year students from Frisco ISD participate in 4 categories according to grade, K-12. A jury selects a winner in each of the 4 categories and the winners are; Ariane Zhang, Gunstream Elementary, Faith Song, Cursinger Elementary, Chantel Ndungu, Roach Middle School and Andreana Tabacco, Centennial High School. These four art pieces are represented on the final poster designed by the Graphic Arts and Illustration class students at CTE Center Graphic Design School.
The Arts in the Square 2015 committee selected 3 poster finalists submitted from the CTE Center Graphic Design School. Congratulations to, Sarah Barney, Jake Luedecke, and Kendall Metcalf.
The poster winner is, Jake Luedecke a Graphic Design student at the CTE Center.
Winners in each category will receive cash awards Wednesday, March 25th during the Award Ceremony & Opening Reception. This free event is hosted by Frisco Arts at the Frisco Art Gallery in the Discovery Center from 6:30-8pm. All entries will be exhibited at Frisco Arts and the show is free and open to the public March 3-30, 2015
