RoughRiders Begin Six Games At Home Tonight

The Frisco RoughRiders return to Dr Pepper Ballpark for a six-game home stand starting Tuesday, May 26, and continuing through Sunday, May 31. The Riders will host six straight games of fun, affordable family entertainment, unique ballpark promotions, tasty food and beverage options, and the future stars of the Texas Rangers in action. The Riders will host the Springfield Cardinals (St. Louis Cardinals) from May 26-28 and the Tulsa Drillers (Los Angeles Dodgers) May 29-31. Wednesday’s 11:05 a.m. first pitch and Sunday’s 4:05 p.m. start and are the exceptions to the RoughRiders’ standard 7:05 p.m. game times.

The RoughRiders will honor all military personnel on Saturday, May 30 with discounted tickets as part of Military Appreciation Night. The team will wear on field camouflage jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game on Saturday. Thursday, May 28 marks another Thirsty Thursday so fans can enjoy 1$ domestic beer from 6-8 p.m. and stay after the game on Friday, May 28 for a spectacular fireworks show presented by Cinemark.

Below is the day-by-day rundown of the promotional activities for the May 14-21 home stand.

TUESDAY, MAY 26 (7:05 p.m. vs. Springfield)

· Taco Tuesday – $2 tacos available at concession stands all game long, plus select $3 beers and ½ price margaritas from 6-8 p.m.

· Kids Run the Bases following the game

WEDNESDAY, MAY 27 (11:05 a.m. vs. Springfield)

· Wiener Wednesdays – $1 hot dogs all game long

THURSDAY, MAY 28 (7:05 p.m. vs. Springfield)

· Thirsty Thursday – Fans 21-and-over can enjoy $1 domestic and $2 import draft beers from 6-8 p.m. Dr Pepper fountain sodas are also offered for just $1

· Ode to Jimmy Buffet Night! – Come help turn Dr Pepper Ballpark into Margaritaville South. Riders fans and Parrotheads alike can come jam out to Jimmy Buffett tunes all game long.

· Dr Pepper 4 for 44 Night – This special package includes 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 Dr Peppers for only $44.

· “Groovy Grubesday” – DFW social media legend Michael Gruber (a.k.a. Grubes) will serve as the night’s “Ambassador of Fun” and his legion of over 30,000 Twitter followers will receive special incentives and experiences during Thursday home games

· Kids Run the Bases following the game

FRIDAY, MAY 29 (7:05 p.m. vs. Tulsa)

· Post-Game Fireworks Show presented by Cinemark

· Reggy- The Purple Party Dude – Best known for his slapstick style comedy and interactions with coaches and umpires on baseball fields throughout the U.S., Reggy – The Purple Party Dude will be a hit for all fans!

SATURDAY, MAY 30 (7:05 p.m. vs. Tulsa)

· Military Appreciation Night– The RoughRiders will honor military servicemen and women and all military personnel will receive discounted tickets. Plus, players will wear specially-designed camouflage jerseys during the game that will be auctioned off to benefit the RoughRiders Foundation.

· Military T-shirt Jersey Giveaway (First 2,000 fans– 18 years and older)

· Kids Run the Bases following the game

· Saturday Night Post-Game Party – Fans are invited to stay after the game for live, local music and drink specials at the Bull Moose Saloon

SUNDAY, MAY 31 (4:05 p.m. vs. Tulsa)

· Kids Sunday FunDay, featuring a Pre-Game Catch on the Field from approximately 3-3:30
