Saturday night’s doubleheader at Dr Pepper Ballpark drew the third-largest home crowd in the history of the Frisco RoughRiders, as the Riders and Corpus Christi Hooks played in front of 11,647 fans. It was the largest crowd since the 2010 season and fewer than two-hundred fans from the team’s all-time record.
The largest crowd to ever watch a game at Dr Pepper Ballpark was 11,836 on July 4, 2003 during the RoughRiders’ first season in Frisco. The RoughRiders once again lead the Texas League and all Double-A franchises in attendance during the 2015 season.
Corpus Christi won game one of Saturday’s doubleheader by a 10-5 final score.
