There is a new sports medicine clinic at Toyota Stadium. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano has opened a 6,500 square-foot sports medicine clinic in Frisco named Texas Health Ben Hogan Sports Medicine Plano. The new clinic is the seventh Texas Health clinic named after champion golfer Ben Hogan.
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth opened the first Ben Hogan Center to focus on sports medicine in 2003. Today the locations include outpatient concussion clinics and sports physical therapy with a focus on giving athletes the most advanced technical and medical treatment available.
Executive vice president Brett S. McClung says the they want to help keep athletes at the top of their game “whether they are a high school, college or professional athlete, or a weekend warrior.”
One of the main goals of the clinic will be treating FC Dallas youth and professional players.
The Frisco/Plano facility features a licensed sports medicine staff and a dedicated area for sports-specific functional training which joins traditional workouts and physical therapy workouts to train muscles to work together.
Sports nutrition and sports psychology services are also being offered.
