Five area high school seniors, including two from Frisco ISD, are receiving a total of $15,000 in scholarships as part of the W. Tip Hall Jr. Scholarship Program created by CoServ in honor of the longtime educator, preacher and legislator.
For more than seven decades, CoServ Electric has supported the academic and community endeavors of students in the North Texas communities it serves. This same mission was shared by W. Tip Hall Jr., who also served on the CoServ Electric Board of Directors for 10 years and worked to develop the scholarship program.
Recipients of this year’s scholarships, the schools they attend and the scholarship amounts include: Allison McGraw of Centennial High School in Frisco ISD, $5,000; Julie Do of Heritage High School in Frisco ISD, $4,000; Cheyann Eder of Little Elm High School in Little Elm ISD, $3,000; Amber Gilani of Flower Mound High School in Lewisville ISD, $2,000; and Darby Traylor of John Guyer High School, $1,000.
